Galilee has a long
tradition of fishing.
Galilee is
one of the largest fishing ports on the east coast, with an annual
intake of over ten million pounds of fish processed. The state docks,
built during the 1930’s, provide places for the various large
ocean-going fishing vessels to dock that target both fish and lobsters.
Many charter fishing vessels are also located at the state docks around
the corner from all commercial fishing vessels. It is a thriving
fishing port, and an excellent place to find a captain to take you out
on a trip. The vast majority of the registered charter boats in
